Which NHA certifications does AH Prep cover?
AH Prep provides bespoke MCQ practice for all six NHA certifications: CCMA (Certified Clinical Medical Assistant), CPT (Certified Phlebotomy Technician), CET (Certified EKG Technician), CBCS (Certified Billing and Coding Specialist), CMAA (Certified Medical Administrative Assistant), and CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician). All six exam banks are included in a single $9.99/month subscription.
How many questions are on the NHA CCMA exam?
The NHA CCMA exam contains 150 questions (135 scored and 15 unscored pretest items). You have 3 hours to complete the exam. NHA uses a scaled scoring system with a minimum passing score of 390 on a scale of 200–500.
Is AH Prep free to use?
Yes. The CCMA question bank is free to practise with no credit card required. A subscription at $9.99/month unlocks all remaining certifications: CPT, CET, CBCS, CMAA, and CPhT.
How long should I study for the NHA CCMA exam?
Most candidates study for 4–8 weeks. Candidates who have completed an accredited medical assistant programme typically need 2–4 weeks of focused exam practice. Consistent MCQ drilling by topic is more effective than passive reading.
What is the NHA phlebotomy (CPT) exam format?
The NHA CPT exam contains 100 questions (90 scored and 10 unscored). Topics include venepuncture technique, specimen handling, order of draw, safety and compliance, and point-of-care testing. The CPT practice test on AH Prep covers all of these domains.
What does the NHA CET (EKG Technician) exam cover?
The NHA CET exam covers cardiac anatomy and physiology, EKG equipment and patient preparation, normal ECG waveforms and measurements, rhythm recognition and arrhythmias, artefact identification, and special procedures including Holter monitoring and stress testing.
Can I practise for multiple NHA certifications with one subscription?
Yes. A single AH Prep subscription at $9.99/month gives you full access to all six certification question banks — CCMA, CPT, CET, CBCS, CMAA, and CPhT. This is less than the cost of a single NHA exam retake fee.
Are AH Prep practice questions different from ExamEdge?
AH Prep writes a dedicated question bank for each certification. Questions are not recycled across exams. Every question includes a full explanation of the correct answer and the principle behind it, so you build genuine understanding rather than pattern memorisation.
